The kids are out for summer break, but that doesn’t mean our schools have stopped pushing to help our youth grow.

To kick off the Summer the Detroit Public Schools Foundation is hosting an event at the Eastern Detroit on Tuesday June 25th from 7:30pm-10:30pm. as a part of their campaign to raise sufficient funding to develop the young minds in our community.

These funds help support educational opportunities for Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) students, families, and educators.

The event at The Eastern Detroit, will include food trucks, recognition of supporters, and door prizes for attendees. Prizes include three beautiful bikes from Detroit Bikes, a Detroit Hustles Harder gift basket, gift cards, and other cool local experiences.

Tickets are $25 per person and include one drink as well as a cash bar. If you can’t make it out tomorrow night to join the community, please consider donating to this important initiative.

The crowdfunding campaign has a goal to raise $100,000 to help kids access better educational resources that will create opportunities in science, technology, engineering, math and overall college preparedness.

Hope to see you this Tuesday at The Eastern Detroit to help continue support DPSF efforts to give kids access to equal educational opportunities.
